Paint by number circa 1986 or 1987

A middle child, introverted yet social…

Jack of all trades, expert at none…

Bethanne has always had her hands into something creative. From paint-by-numbers as a kid to writing to cross-stitch, she likes to think outside the box. Her brain plays stories like movies, as she uses her vision more than her hearing.

She can pick a color and match it perfectly to the ensemble at home…and she knows what’s black and what’s blue. Believe it, some people don’t!

Her creative streak takes place in the kitchen, too, where she loves to blend flavors and try new recipes, which she never follows to a T. Sourdough is her new favorite creation, with a starter than is over a year old. Her favorite foods are Mediterranean and dessert.

Her biggest accomplishment so far is publishing 9 books, 8 of which are available on Amazon under her pen name, Beth Rhodes. You can read about those on the Writing As page. The publishing industry has been a harsh slavemaster, for her, and in the past 3 years she has slowly needed to reprioritize her efforts there. She loves to read and writing follows that, so she isn’t about to quit, but she is taking time to let God lead her down a new path.

On the homefront, she is married for 25 years and has created 6 children to go along with it (but that’s more procreation than creation). She is an autoimmune disorder waiting to happen: with T1D and Ulcerative Colitis on the books, who knows what’s in store. It takes a lot of managing to keep her body in tiptop shape. And everyday, she starts over to do whatever she can to live as along as she can on this beautiful earth,…

created by the One who created her.

Sarcasm and cynicism run deep in her soul… if she starts blogging again, you’ll see it there.
