Patriot Day

This is the first year I remember hearing that Title.
Did it sneak up on me like an elephant? Is the fact that I haven't heard the term more telling of me or how it came about?! haha. In any case, it's perfect. Of all the things I remember about that time, the strongest memories are of the feelings that came after the attack.

None of the usual political or social unrest seemed to matter. Our disagreements with each other became minuscule. Maybe it's a good reminder, especially in election year, that differences of opinion are what make our country unique. We should still be able to come together, to unify for the greater good--so to speak.

That's all.
In my prayers are all the victims and survivors of 9/11. The families who lost loved ones, especially.
With Love,
Bethanne
